Finbro review

Direct lender4.0/5

The strongest registration position of anything we list: the SEC itself has confirmed that Finbro.PH is the online lending platform recorded to SOFI Financing, Inc. It publishes its amounts, terms and a worked cost example openly, and its app asks only for camera and location rather than your contacts. Recommended if you need a larger amount or a longer term — but do the arithmetic first, because its own twelve-month example repays ₱2,320 on ₱1,000.

Finbro lends its own money, so the company you apply to is the company that holds your loan.

SOFI FINANCING INC. holds an SEC Certificate of Authority (CA No. 1324) and appears on the SEC list of recorded online lending platforms. Checked 2026-07-26.

The operator publishes Certificate of Authority No. 1324; a number of review sites state 2990. We have confirmed the operator and the OLP recording from an SEC advisory but have not yet matched the CA number itself against the SEC list, so we quote the operator figure and flag the discrepancy.

Who it suits

Suits you if you would rather know exactly who holds your loan and keep your details with one company. Check its published terms against the effective-rate ceiling before you apply.

Trade-offs

In its favour

  • You borrow from the company you applied to: one credit check, one point of contact, one company holding your data
  • Terms come from the lender itself rather than a range across unnamed partners
  • Easier to hold to account, because there is a named licensee behind the loan

Against it

  • Its own published example repays ₱2,320 on a ₱1,000 loan — a total cost of 132% of what you borrowed. Legal, because a 12-month term falls outside the bracket the SEC caps, but worth doing the arithmetic before you sign
  • Two counterfeit apps using the Finbro name — "Finbro: Financial Focus" and "Finbro PH – Personal Finance" — were the subject of an SEC advisory in June 2026. Check the developer is SOFI Financing before installing anything
  • One set of eligibility rules. If you do not fit them you are declined outright rather than matched elsewhere
  • A single lender is rarely the cheapest option for every borrower profile

Questions people ask about Finbro

Is Finbro legit and SEC-registered?

Yes, on the strongest basis we have for any app we list. In its advisory of 30 June 2026 the SEC stated that Finbro.PH is the online lending platform recorded as operated by SOFI Financing, Inc. The operator publishes Certificate of Authority No. 1324; a number of third-party sites quote 2990, and we have not yet matched the number itself against the SEC list, so we flag the discrepancy rather than hide it.

What is Finbro's maximum loan?

Finbro publishes a range of ₱1,000 to ₱50,000 over terms of up to 12 months on its Google Play listing. As with every app lender, a first loan is normally approved below the headline maximum and the limit rises with repayment history.

What are Finbro's requirements?

The application asks for a valid government ID with a live selfie, a mobile number in your own name and an account to receive the money — the norm for SEC-recorded online lenders. Age and income thresholds are set inside the app at application rather than on a page we can link to. The part worth checking before you install is permissions: Finbro's app requests camera and location only, not contacts.

Is there a Finbro promo code?

We do not publish codes. Any live promotion appears inside the SOFI Financing app itself, and pages offering a 'Finbro promo code' are a common lure for the counterfeit apps the SEC warned about in June 2026. Never enter a code — or your details — into anything other than the app whose developer is SOFI Financing, Inc.

Which is the real Finbro app?

The one published by SOFI Financing, Inc. Two apps using the name — 'Finbro: Financial Focus' and 'Finbro PH – Personal Finance' — were the subject of an SEC advisory in June 2026. Check the developer line on the store listing before installing.

How do I pay Finbro through GCash?

Take the biller name and your reference number from the app's repayment screen, then pay through GCash Bills under Loans. Finbro's own site also publishes walkthroughs for Cebuana Lhuillier, M Lhuillier and SM Bills Payment. Pay a day early: a payment sitting in a posting queue on the due date is late on the lender's ledger.

We earn a commission when you apply through some of the links on this page, and that can affect the order providers appear in. It does not affect whether we tell you a provider is a broker rather than a lender, or that we could not verify its registration.

Borrow only what you can repay. Compare the effective interest rate, including fees, rather than the advertised daily or monthly rate — they are not the same number. Missing payments adds penalties and is reported to the credit bureau. If a lender or collector threatens you or contacts the people in your phone, that is prohibited, and you can report it to the SEC.

Borrower reviews

Nobody has submitted a review of Finbro yet. When they do, they appear here in full — we do not write them ourselves and we do not buy them in.

Borrowed from Finbro?

Tell other people what actually happened — the amount you were offered, the fees you were charged, how collection was handled. We publish real submissions only, and we read each one first.
