Pag-IBIG contribution table for 2026

By MoneyNow editorial deskEvery rate on this page is taken from the issuing authority — SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, the BIR, the NWPC or the SEC — and carries the date it took effect. Where a figure cannot be sourced we say so rather than estimate.

A large pale shell tile with four smaller tiles separated from it and set aside in a row, one edged in green — the deductions taken out of a whole salary.

Two per cent, capped at ₱10,000 of salary

The contribution rate is 2% of monthly basic salary for anyone earning above ₱1,500, and 1% at or below it. The Monthly Fund Salary — the amount the percentage is applied to — is capped at ₱10,000. So the most any employee contributes is ₱200 a month, matched by ₱200 from the employer, for total savings of ₱400.

The cap doubled from ₱5,000 in February 2024, which is when the maximum employee share went from ₱100 to ₱200. If your payslip still shows ₱100, your payroll is running on a superseded schedule.

It is savings, not a tax

This is the one mandatory deduction where the money remains yours. Your contributions, the employer counterpart and annual dividends accumulate as your Total Accumulated Value, which you can claim on maturity, and which determines how much you can borrow. It is the only one of the three that pays you a return.

Why the cap makes voluntary top-ups worth considering

Because the mandatory contribution is capped at ₱200, higher earners accumulate slowly relative to income. Pag-IBIG permits voluntary contributions above the mandatory amount, and since your multi-purpose loan entitlement is a percentage of your Total Accumulated Value, a larger balance raises both your savings and your borrowing capacity. Dividends are also tax-free, which is unusual among accessible savings vehicles here.

The 24-contribution threshold

A multi-purpose loan requires at least 24 monthly contributions, so the practical value of the deduction is unlocked two years in. If you have been contributing longer than that and have never checked your Total Accumulated Value, Virtual Pag-IBIG will show it, and it is usually larger than people expect.

Where it sits in your payslip

Pag-IBIG is the smallest of the three mandatory deductions in peso terms — ₱200 against as much as ₱1,750 for SSS and ₱2,500 for PhilHealth at their ceilings. Our take-home pay calculator applies all three plus withholding tax on the schedules in force.
