Credum review

We are not recommending Credum, which is a shame, because on disclosure it is the best of the marketplaces we have reviewed — it names five partner lenders and their SEC registration numbers before you hand anything over. The problem is its own arithmetic. The representative example it publishes has you repaying ₱2,716.90 on ₱1,000 over three months, and since April 2026 the total cost of a loan that small and that short cannot lawfully exceed what you borrowed. Either the example is stale, having last been updated in August 2025, or its partners price above the cap. Until Credum resolves that, use its partner list as a reading list and approach a licensed lender directly.

Marketplaceforwards your applicationSEC check pending

Credum is a marketplace, not a lender. You submit one application and it forwards your details to lenders it works with. It does not need a Certificate of Authority because it never lends — the licence that matters belongs to whichever lender you are matched with.

We have not finished the SEC lookup for this provider. Until we have, verify it yourself on the SEC lists before applying.

Credum is a brand of Summarum Media, business-ID FI28230174, of Helsinki, Finland, per its own footer. No Philippine Certificate of Authority is published and none is required if it does not lend. It does name five Philippine partner lenders with their SEC registration numbers, which is more than any other marketplace in this registry publishes; we have not yet matched those five registrations against the SEC list. Still to check: those five registrations, and the brand and operator against SEC advisories.

Our assessment

Not recommended

Cost of credit: Its published pricing exceeds the ceiling the SEC applies to loans of this size and term. We do not publish an overall figure in this situation — a single number would invite comparison with providers that do not have this problem.

Assessed on 3 of 6 criteria, covering 55% of the rubric weight. We withhold the headline figure until regulatory standing is settled and at least half the weight is covered. How we rate

Who it suits

The most openly documented of the marketplaces here, and still not one we would send you to. If you want to see which licensed lenders sit behind a comparison funnel before you apply, its partner list is genuinely useful — you can read the five names, then approach whichever of them you prefer directly.

Trade-offs

In its favour

  • Names five Philippine partner lenders with their SEC registration numbers before you submit anything, which no other marketplace in this registry does
  • States plainly that it is not a bank or lender and takes no responsibility for the loan agreement
  • Publishes an amount range, a term range and an APR range, and charges no service fee
  • Browser-based with no app, so nothing asks for access to your contacts

Against it

  • Its own representative example describes a loan the SEC ceiling prohibits: ₱1,000 over 3 months repaying ₱2,716.90, when total cost on a loan that size and length has been capped at the amount borrowed since April 2026
  • Its two representative examples contradict each other. One repays 2.7 times the principal in 3 months while claiming an APR of 72.635%; the other repays ₱1,150 on ₱1,000 over a year while claiming an APR of 180%
  • The calculator on the page estimates your monthly payment from a 9.9% nominal rate that appears nowhere in the 0% to 180% range disclosed at the foot of the same page
  • The page states it was last updated in August 2025, before the April 2026 ceiling took effect, so its cost figures were written under the old rules
  • The claims of 8 years of experience and 250,000 satisfied customers are not attributed to anything
  • One of the five named partners is Kviku, which we do not recommend on its own published pricing
  • The operator is Finnish, so a complaint has no Philippine addressee. The licence that matters belongs to whichever partner ends up lending

Before you apply

We earn a commission when you apply through some of the links on this page, and that can affect the order providers appear in. It does not affect whether we tell you a provider is a broker rather than a lender, or that we could not verify its registration.

Go to Credum

Borrow only what you can repay. Compare the effective interest rate, including fees, rather than the advertised daily or monthly rate — they are not the same number. Missing payments adds penalties and is reported to the credit bureau. If a lender or collector threatens you or contacts the people in your phone, that is prohibited, and you can report it to the SEC.

Borrower reviews

Nobody has submitted a review of Credum yet. When they do, they appear here in full — we do not write them ourselves and we do not buy them in.
